Guest posts are a blessing!

Some big changes are coming up in the next couple of months for Cast Your Worries. We’ll have an official logo, a snazzier layout, a new address, and more tools to help you strategically battle worry. There are some changes I just can’t wait to share!

Changes are a comin'!

I love the idea of guest posting. It’s such a blessing to hear other’s perspectives on worry. My take on life is as a 30 something mom…but not everyone is like me!

Each month, we will have a guest post. You will hear from moms, dads, men, professionals, teens, and more about their experience with worry and with God.

There will be two types of guest posts, intended to bless you with insights into worry and God’s faithfulness. Here’s what they’re about:

Great is God’s Faithfulness Testimonies
Our lives are meant to be a testimony to God’s faithfulness. The Bible is riddled with examples of God’s presence in people’s personal storms.

These stories bless us who worry and fear the unthinkable. The more we can see God’s track record of being One worthy of being trusted, the easier it is to trust Him. We see this very specifically in Psalm 78:

we will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the LORD, his power, and the wonders he has done…Then they would put their trust in God and would not forget his deeds. Psalm 78:4, 7

Guest writers will share a challenging moment from their life and ponder how God was present, restoring and keeping His promises.

The goal of these posts is to highlight God’s deeds in our lives. Again, when we hear stories of God’s faithfulness, we delve into the depths of God’s amazingness…and trust grows.

Practical Helps
Cast Your Worries exists to help worriers proactively address their worry. We believe the greatest weapon we wield as Christians is God’s Word. However God has also given us our reason and lots of other practical tools to fight worry and anxiety. These tools can come in two forms:

  1. Disciplines, practices, products that can help reduce anxiety (e.g. massage therapy, acupuncture, deep breathing, etc.)
  2. Practical resources to address specific worries/fears (e.g. how to write a will, best weather apps, etc.)

These posts will flesh out some of the aforementioned practical tools. The goal is to arm you with some of the good, tangible gifts God has given us.

The spatula is one of my favorite kitchen tools...but not much help when it comes to worry!

I hope you’ll not only enjoy hearing from others, but also are edified with the reality of God’s love and care for you every. single. moment. Especially those moments of worry!

  1. How exciting to have changes coming to your blog, Brandy! I’ll have to think if I have anything that would fit your need for practical helps or stories of God’s faithfulness.

May God bless you as you minister to those learning to cast their cares on the Lord. And isn’t that all of us? : )
